For the first time, a large-scale trio for piano, flute, and vibraphone, inspired by the poetry of Dylan Thomas, will be performed. The composition promises a journey from quiet meditation to powerful dramatic outbursts - through music that does not grant peace. What can unite a piano, flute, and vibraphone? In Alexey Sysoev's new composition, these are not just instruments, but equal voices in a dialogue unfolding over the course of an hour. Inspired by the line "Don’t go gentle into that good night", the piece has received the Russian title - "Don’t Wait for Peace in Night Travels" and has become an independent reflection on resistance, fragility, and inner strength. The music develops without interruption, slowly drawing the listener into a space where familiar forms do not exist. The fabric of the composition stretches between noises, timbres, and rhythms, gathering into dense musical patterns, only to disintegrate into transparent sound planes in the next moment. This is not background music - it demands focus, attention, and an inner response. Sysoev is known for his tendency towards dramatic rigor: in his compositions, every second is justified and precise. At the same time, he is not afraid to use open forms, improvisational elements, and unexpected instrumental combinations. The new trio is a logical continuation of his previous large-scale works: the piano piece "Selena" and the cycle "In Search of Lost Time". But this time, the composer works with a chamber ensemble, revealing its potential to the limit of possibilities. The piece will be performed for the first time. The stage will feature Feodosia Mironova (piano), Maria Koryakina (flute), and Philip Fitin (vibraphone).
