About

A concert dedicated to the works of Isaac Dunayevsky will be a true journey through the ages. Beloved songs from films, operettas, and patriotic programs will be performed. Music familiar since childhood awakens memories, unites generations, and fills the hall with vibrant emotions. There are melodies that do not just sound - they live within us, becoming part of our memory and cultural code. The concert "The Song Helps Us Build and Live," dedicated to the 125th anniversary of composer Isaac Dunayevsky, is not just a musical event, but an evening where the songs that defined the mood of an entire era come to life. Dunayevsky is a name that cannot be unknown. His songs from films like "The Cheerful Guys," "The Circus," "The Children of Captain Grant," and others have forever entered the golden fund of domestic music. Some melodies, like "My Wide Native Land," became a calling card of Soviet radio, while others became symbols of the time in which they were played. The concert in the White Hall of the Lermontov Library is a journey through decades. Each number in the program is accompanied by a story that helps to understand the context in which a particular song was performed, what it meant to people, and how it fit into the destinies of the country. The choir of the Central Naval Museum named after Emperor Peter the Great "Neva Wave" will perform under the direction of Marina Vorotova. Soloists and the choir will perform the most recognizable and beloved works of the composer, which still sound fresh, sincere, and bright. The concert is part of the "Silver Age" project and will be an emotionally rich evening, full of nostalgia, inspiration, and warmth. This event will unite generations, awaken good memories, and provide a sense of belonging to something great and bright. We share on our website where to go with children in St. Petersburg.
