Sometimes it seems that the history of music is a long chain of lessons: who borrowed a technique from whom, whose thought was continued, whose peculiarity was turned into style. This concert program gathers such a "conversation of generations" and allows us to hear how new intonations sprout from one era to another. The program will feature compositions by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Leopold Mozart. Bach's sonata for viola da gamba and harpsichord will be performed in an arrangement for viola, violin, and cello. Mozart's adagios and fugues, created based on the music of Johann Sebastian and Wilhelm Friedemann Bach, will show another side of the composer: not festive, but focused, attentive to form and counterpoint. The music of Leopold Mozart will add an ironic note - in his Frosch-Parthia, one can hear playfulness and precise calculation. The program will be performed by the string trio of the "20th Century" ensemble: Maria Khodina (violin), Vyacheslav Grebenikov (viola), and Nadezhda Grebenikova (cello).
