Gusli and qanun meet on the same stage and sound as if they have known each other for hundreds of years. Multi-instrumentalist Denis Kucheryov connects northern latitude and eastern ornament in a lively dialogue, while the flute, saxophone, cello, and percussion add a soft drive and a sense of discovery. When you crave music that surprises with timbres but remains understandable and warm, rare instruments come to the rescue. This time, the focus is on the gusli and qanun: two strings related by origin, grown in different cultures. Their meeting gives birth to a sound where the northern "breath" coexists with eastern intricacy, and the melody sometimes stretches its shoulders and sometimes turns into a delicate pattern. The evening gathers the team of multi-instrumentalist and composer Denis Kucheryov. His ensemble works like a small laboratory of rhythm: tabla, hang, cajón, and frame drum keep a pulse that you want to feel in your body. On top, the flute and saxophone of Mikhail Shipov, the cello of Elizaveta Usovich - and the music begins to "breathe" volumetrically, as if the hall becomes another instrument.
