About

The musical cycle "Teacher and Students" reveals the living connection between generations through creativity. Young performers will present academic works for piano, flute, and vocals - in gratitude to their mentors and in the name of music itself. The program features students of leading educators in the city. In the White Hall of the Central Library named after M. Yu. Lermontov, compositions for piano, vocals, and flute will be performed by students of renowned St. Petersburg teachers. The concert will continue the cycle "Teacher and Students" and will mark an important milestone in the creative journey of young musicians. On this day, students from three directions will take the stage: the piano school of Pavel Korago, the flute class of the Honored Cultural Worker V. A. Ushakov, and vocal students of V. V. Badulina. All of them represent the St. Petersburg Conservatory, its school, and college, showcasing diverse approaches and sounds. The cycle "Teacher and Students" is significant as it captures the continuity of traditions - not formally, but vividly and subtly, through the dialogue of stage experience, musical thinking, and creative initiative. It is an opportunity not just to hear a concert but to witness the transmission of knowledge - from mentors who have dedicated themselves to art to those who are taking their first steps on stage. The program covers chamber and solo works from the academic repertoire. Each piece is a small story, intertwining youthful perspectives, pedagogical schools, and personal sincerity in performance. The audience will not only enjoy the music but also feel the movement: development, growth, becoming. A special emotional hue is given to the concert by the format itself - the participants play under the banner of support, collaboration, and shared involvement. For the audience, this informal performance opens a different, personal perspective on the academic stage. The event is held as part of the "Silver Age" project and will be interesting to listeners of all ages - from those who have studied music themselves to those who appreciate moments of genuine meaning conveyed through art.
