The first part of the concert is dedicated to the works of Sergey Taneyev. His famous cycle "Twelve Choruses" on the verses of Y. Polonsky is one of the masterpieces of Russian spiritual choral music. Eight choruses from two notebooks of the cycle will be performed, as well as chamber pieces "Pine" on the verses of Lermontov and "Sunrise" on the verses of Tyutchev - vivid musical paintings conveying the image of nature through the sound of human voices. In the second part, the audience will become acquainted with the compositions of Georgy Sviridov - a composer who managed to convey the breath of the Russian word in music. Excerpts from "Pushkin's Wreath", the chorus for the tragedy "Tsar Fyodor Ioannovich" based on Tolstoy, works on the verses of Yesenin, as well as fragments from the late cycle "Hymns and Prayers" will be performed.
