One of the most famous and outstanding works of the 20th century - the scenic cantata by Carl Orff - will be performed under the arches of a Gothic cathedral accompanied by a multimedia installation. The work "Carmina Burana", created in the 1930s, was inspired by medieval texts. Twenty-four poetic sketches on eternal themes - the transience of time, the variability of life, youth, love - were written in the 13th century. Told in the musical language of the 20th century, they have gained new life as part of a great work. Innovation intertwined with antiquity. It turns out that the composer created a musical time machine that connected the centuries. "Carmina Burana" will be performed by the State Academic Choir Chapel of Russia named after Yurlov and the Central Orchestra of the Ministry of Defense.
