The program will feature sonatas and concertos from the Baroque era performed by violinists and a pianist. The musical evening is dedicated to the works of two of the greatest composers of the Baroque era - Johann Sebastian Bach and Antonio Vivaldi. The chamber format allows for the appreciation of every detail of the score: the intertwining of instrumental parts, the expressiveness of melodies, and the nuances of performance. The program will include Bach's Sonata for Violin and Harpsichord No. 1 in B minor BWV 1014, as well as excerpts from Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" - the concertos "Spring" and "Autumn". The program will conclude with Bach's Concerto for Two Violins, Strings, and Basso Continuo in D minor BWV 1043. Performers include Karina Sposobina, Yulia Nikanorova, and Alexandra Yelikeva. The musicians will perform works for piano and violins. Our website features the current program of St. Petersburg.
