The Andreevsky Orchestra will dedicate an evening to the memory of the outstanding tenor Yuri Marusin - a soloist of the Mariinsky, who conquered the world stage. The rich program will feature Russian classics, works by Andreev, Tchaikovsky, Glinka, and folk songs performed by soloists of the theater and laureates of international competitions. The State Academic Russian Orchestra named after V.V. Andreev will present a concert program dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Yuri Marusin - an outstanding tenor, honored artist, whose vocal career was closely associated with the Mariinsky Theater and the Andreev Orchestra. The event promises to be not just a musical evening, but a true ode to the creativity and memory of the great performer. Yuri Marusin was not only a star of the world opera stage but also a person whose artistic charisma, emotionality, and impeccable technique have forever remained in the hearts of St. Petersburg listeners. His unique voice resonated in the largest theaters, and he received recognition both in Russia and abroad. A special place in his repertoire was occupied by Russian and Neapolitan songs - and it is this aspect of his creativity that will be reflected in the upcoming concert. In two parts, works by Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Rachmaninoff, Glinka, Dargomyzhsky, Andreev, Lyadov, as well as folk songs will be performed. The program is composed with deep respect for the aesthetics and repertoire of Yuri Marusin. The concert will feature soloists from the Mariinsky Theater - Ekaterina Shimanovich (soprano), Tsvetana Omelchuk (mezzo-soprano), and Boris Stepanov (tenor), laureates of international competitions.
