Audiences will embark on a musical journey with Armenian spiritual hymns and folk melodies. The duet of duduk and organ will create an unusual and atmospheric sound. The concert will unite works by classical composers, spiritual and folk melodies. The focus will be on the unique combination of duduk, shvi, clarinet, organ, and vocals. The musicians will turn to the musical traditions of Armenia and demonstrate how ancient intonations continue to resonate in modern performance. The program will feature organist Egine Barsegyan and wind instrument performer Vardan Arutyunyan. Barsegyan works on arrangements of spiritual monodies and folk melodies, creating works for organ, choir, and chamber ensembles. Arutyunyan is a laureate of international competitions, a graduate of the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, performing with large orchestras and touring in various countries.
