Three types of guitars will meet in one program. Irina Alexandrovna and Mikhail Olenchenko will talk about the works and show how different the voice of one instrument can be - from academic music to folk and rock intonations. The guitar can change character literally in a few minutes - and this program is built precisely on such diversity. On one stage, three of its varieties will meet: classical, Russian seven-string, and acoustic. Irina Alexandrovna will perform with two guitars - classical and seven-string. Mikhail Olenchenko will play the acoustic guitar and present his own compositions. The program will combine works from different eras and styles: Prelude by Johann Sebastian Bach arranged for seven-string guitar, "Troika" by Sergey Orechov, variations by Mauro Giuliani on a theme by Handel, Grand Vals by Francisco Tárrega, and Cadiz by Isaac Albéniz. Before the performance of the pieces, they will be accompanied by stories and explanations, so listeners will be able to understand how the instruments differ, where different performance traditions came from, and how the image of the guitar has changed in music.
