Musicians will perform at Petrikirche with works by classical composers that have become global hits. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven are genius composers of the era known as "Viennese Classicism", as Vienna was the musical capital of Europe in the second half of the 18th and early 19th centuries. The program will feature Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14, which, thanks to poet Ludwig Rellstab, became known as the "Moonlight Sonata". "Lacrimosa" is an essential part of the mass, including the requiem. The most famous "Lacrimosa" belongs to Mozart, and it is the lyrical center of his Requiem, which, according to the composer, he wrote for himself. Just a day before his death, Mozart attempted to sing "Lacrimosa" with friends but could not, breaking down in tears from the overwhelming emotions. Also, the famous "Water Music" by Georg Friedrich Handel will be performed. The program will be performed by organist Olga Kotlyarova and soprano Tatyana Lanskaya.
