The program unites music from different eras and countries, taking listeners from Venice and Vienna to St. Petersburg and Russian folklore. The focus is on both recognized masterpieces and rarely performed works. The program is divided into two parts, each revealing its own musical world. First, attention will be directed to the European tradition. The concert will feature works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Vivaldi. Listeners will also be introduced to Franz Krommer - a composer whose name is heard significantly less today than during his lifetime. The solo parts will be performed by flutist Inna Cherepanova and clarinetists Anton Dereza and Viktor Irshai. In the second part, the emphasis will shift to Russian music. The Cappella Orchestra will perform one of Mikhail Glinka's most famous works, followed by a large-scale composition by Anton Arensky, based on epic themes. Pianist Ilya Chirsikov will perform. The finale will be the symphony by Sergei Prokofiev, in which the composer reinterpreted the traditions of the classical era through the language of 20th-century music.
