It is dedicated to the first concert of the "Homage to Jazz" cycle at the House of Culture "Rassvet" - a project in which great jazz works of the past will gain a new sound. "A Love Supreme" is a spiritual and musical manifestation, a four-part suite in which Coltrane conveys his inner awakening and faith through the saxophone. Each of its titles - from "Acknowledgement" to "Psalm" - carries a philosophical and spiritual subtext. This complex, emotional, and poignant work will be performed live in its entirety by a team of Moscow musicians. The program will also feature classic compositions from Coltrane's repertoire: "In a Sentimental Mood", "My Favourite Things", "Giant Steps", and others.
