Latin American classical music sounds fresh, sharp, and rhythmic - and in this concert, it will be presented in all its diversity. From street choros to Andean folklore, from guitar to flute and cello - the compositions of Villa-Lobos and Ginastera will reveal a vibrant world where passion, ritual, and freedom take on musical form. ClassicaPlus continues the concert series «On Strange Shores» and offers the audience a musical journey through Latin America. The works of Villa-Lobos, Ginastera, and Ponce will open a world where classical music merges with the rhythms of the streets and the breath of the mountains. The central figure of the program is the Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos. His work is improvisation, folklore, and freedom. The concert will feature his flute piece «Asobio a Jato», two preludes for guitar, and string quartet No. 6 «Brasileiro», inspired by the musical genre choro. The music of Argentine Alberto Ginastera will transport the listener to the high Andes. His «Impresiones de la Puna» is filled with the breath of the plateau, dry air, and melodies of indigenous peoples. And the Mexican composer Manuel Ponce will provide a vibrant guitar accent - his «Sonata Mexicana» will be performed. ClassicaPlus is an ensemble of young musicians, graduates of leading universities. They play classical music passionately and boldly, making it a living dialogue with the audience.
