"The Spiritual Man" is not just a concert, but a powerful emotional experience capable of touching the deepest strings of the soul. The collaborative program of organist Farida Nurulloeva and the Singing Chapel under the direction of Nikolai Kurbatov returns to the Chapel's schedule after a triumphant success last season. At that time, the premiere took place in a full hall and elicited a lively response from the audience. The new version of the program combines tradition and renewal. This time, solo organ pieces will alternate with choral works, and the scenography will once again include soft light, darkness in the hall, and projections that create a visual accompaniment to the sacred sound. The repertoire will unite different eras and styles: from the passionate motets of Johann Christoph Bach to the inspiring "Chichester Psalms" by Leonard Bernstein, in which the countertenor Nikita Ryzhov will once again perform. The program will also include psalms by Mendelssohn, compositions by Mozart, Fauré, as well as the poignant piece by Arvo Pärt, De Profundis. A special role is played by the nuances of the ensemble - in certain episodes, a women's choir will sound, while in others - a men's choir, creating a multilayered structure. The center of the entire composition will remain the image of the "spiritual man" - a hero who turns to prayer, the texts of the psalms, and a personal search for truth.
