Ghostly motifs and bright melancholy - the ensemble "Hauntology" and the chamber orchestra "Prometheus" will present a program dedicated to the hauntological worlds of contemporary academic composers. Hauntology is a longing for unrealized dreams of the future. In music, this state is conveyed through a nostalgic mood and the sounds of "deteriorating" media: the crackle of vinyl and the noise of old tapes. In the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, listeners will become acquainted with works where the boundaries between academic tradition and electronics are blurred. The projects Hauntology and Prometheus will perform acoustic versions of compositions by contemporary authors arranged for string instruments and cathedral organ.
