In one program, compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach and Frédéric Chopin will be performed - an evening full of contrasts and new impressions. Johann Sebastian Bach is the unmatched genius of organ music. Frédéric Chopin is a composer and pianist who created such virtuosic and vivid works for the piano that they amaze both listeners and performers. Can the music of these two titans be compared? Experts will answer that it cannot, and they will be right. Bach's polyphony on one side, and Chopin, the symbol of musical romanticism, on the other. Their works reflect completely different worlds and different perceptions of time. "Amadeus" invites the residents of St. Petersburg to a performance dedicated to the two geniuses, where the incompatible will merge. The program is expected to be as contrasting and unpredictable as possible, and there can be no losers in this symbolic "Battle of the Keyboards." Performers are leading musicians from St. Petersburg, laureates of international competitions, soloists and guest musicians from the Mariinsky Theatre and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic.
