Here, sound is built from strikes, reflections, and decays. Metal plates, wooden surfaces, and membranes come together in an exact system where rhythm replaces the familiar melody. At the center of this evening is not a theme or a melody, but the sound itself and the way it exists in time. Percussion instruments become the main carriers of form. Musical development occurs through the alternation of impulses, pauses, and resonances. The listener follows not a line, but a process - how the density of sound changes and how silence acquires meaning. The ensemble was formed in 2005 at the Mariinsky Theatre. Its initiators were Vladislav Ivanov and Arseny Shupliakov, who united the artists of the theatre's percussion group into an independent collective. Over the years, the ensemble has performed on Russian and international stages and has twice been awarded the first prize at the International Ensemble Competition named after S. V. Rachmaninoff in St. Petersburg. The performance features Mikhail Vedunkin, Dmitry Gabasov, Grigory Zhuravlyov, Evgeny Zhikalov, Vladislav Ivanov, Alexander Veselov, Vladimir Maslov, Dmitry Fyodorov, Fedor Khandrikov, Tatyana Cheremukhina, and Arseny Shupliakov.
