The music sounds dense, bright, and captures attention from the very first bars. On this evening, brass and percussion musicians unite on stage as a cohesive ensemble. The sound is constructed from dense chords, sharp accents, and a clear rhythmic foundation. The musical movement develops rapidly: short phrases are replaced by expansive episodes, and timbral contrasts become the main expressive tool. The program includes works by Dmitri Shostakovich - "Festive Overture," a suite from the film music "The Gadfly," and Concertino. These pieces unfold through energetic delivery and clear form. The second part of the evening is connected to Bizet's "Carmen Suite" in the version by Rodion Shchedrin, where familiar intonations receive a new sound thanks to the brass and percussion ensemble. The ensemble features trumpeters Timur Martynov, Stanislav Ilchenko, Nikolai Strantakovsky, and Semyon Salomatnikov, horn players Alexander Afanasyev, Vladislav Kuznetsov, Vsevolod Trukhachev, and Maria Sirotina, trombonists Alexey Lobikov, Pavel Serdyuk, Alexander Kovalchuk, and Mikhail Vinitsky, tuba player Evgeny Borodavko, as well as a percussion group - Andrey Khotin, Nikolai Khotin, Vladimir Maslov, Alexander Veselov, and Vladislav Ivanov.
