About

To cover seven centuries in an hour and a half, you need a time machine! Or an organ. Spanish musician Daniel Salvador invites listeners on a journey through the depths of time. The organ is rightly called the king of instruments. It is not only the largest and most powerful but also one of the oldest - organ music has roots that go back to the distant Middle Ages. On this evening, the cathedral hosts Spanish musician Daniel Salvador - organist of the Papal Basilica of Saint Michael. In an hour and a half, he will present music from the Middle Ages to the 21st century. Works from the ancient Robertsbridge Codex and the Buxheim Organ Book, compositions by de Cabezón, Sweelinck, de Grigny, Bach, Odoevsky, Messiaen, and other composers will be performed.
