"Coming of Age" is a film about a girl-poet named Olya, who lives in a happy family and sees the world differently than her peers. The poems born in her soul surprise adults and make them think about the wisdom of childhood. "Coming of Age" is a lyrical story about growing up and finding oneself. At the center of the plot is Olya, a seventh grader with kind parents, loyal friends, and a special gift for poetry. Her poems amaze teachers and adults with their depth, as they reflect a delicate child’s perception of the world and questions that do not always have simple answers. This film takes the viewer back to school years when friendship seemed like the most reliable support, and dreams were an opportunity to change the world. The screening is held with the support of the State Film Fund of Russia and is woven into the exhibition "The Last Summer of Childhood," which adds a nostalgic atmosphere to the event.
