The late 1920s was a time when Soviet directors were actively searching for their own language. The meeting will showcase two films by Yakov Protazanov that reflect different aspects of this process: the comedy "Don Diego and Pelageya" and the film almanac "Ranks and People". After the screening, there will be a discussion with the host of the film club "CP", Andrey Trusov. Together with him, the audience will analyze Protazanov's artistic decisions and try to understand how these films influenced the further development of domestic cinema.
