After the introductory part, guests will see the filmmaker's masterpiece - the film "The Cameraman," where Keaton's talent is fully manifested. Next, the program will turn to Alfred Hitchcock, knight of the British Empire and the unrivaled master of suspense. Natalia Antropova will reveal how the future classic began in the silent film era, why his "Psycho" and "The Birds" missed out on the Oscar but became timeless genre benchmarks. The evening will conclude with a screening and discussion of the psychological thriller "Strangers on a Train." The third meeting will be dedicated to Humphrey Bogart and John Huston's film "The Maltese Falcon" - a film that laid the groundwork for classic noir. Natalia Antropova's lecture will introduce viewers to the features of this genre, the history of director Huston and his transition from screenwriter to director, as well as Bogart's image, which forever became associated with the actor in life and on screen.
