Painting, graphics, and decorative-applied works show how tradition helps artists seek their own language. The project is connected to the anniversary of the Moscow regional branch of the Union of Artists of Russia. Young participants and authors are nearby, helping them build their path within the artistic community. The exhibition is based on different techniques and genres. Painting, graphics, decorative-applied art, still lifes, landscapes, and portraits allow us to trace the work with form, light, color, and character of the image. Some works are closer to academic presentation, while others noticeably move towards independent exploration. In this combination arises the main meaning of the exhibition: the traditional school does not limit the artist but provides a foundation for experimentation.
