A new season of film club meetings dedicated to watching and discussing Italian films kicks off at the "Domzhur" cinema. Sunny holidays in Italian style return to the big screen - from June 18 to August 27, as part of the "Italian Stories 2025" festival, viewers can look forward to eight films, each transporting them to vacation routines and celebrations on the Apennine Peninsula. The festival is traditionally dedicated to the main comedies of recent years - successful, popular, featuring renowned actors. The festival opens with the film "Italian Holidays" starring the comedic trio Aldo, Giovanni, and Giacomo, and closes with the warm drama "That Summer," set in Tuscany in the early 1980s. The comedies of the festival are not just amusing plots. They address social inequality and love, coming of age and longing for change, family conflicts and nostalgia. You can expect a stroll through Rome, a trip to the mountains of Basilicata, late-night conversations on the Neapolitan coast, and camping holidays by the sea. All films will be shown in Italian with Russian subtitles. You can find the full program and schedule of screenings on the cinema's website.
