How do neural networks work, why have they become an integral part of the modern world, and can they create art? Participants in the interactive lecture will learn how neural networks are trained, where they are applied, and will also try to generate an image using popular AI services. Neural networks are capable of not only analyzing data but also creating images, music, videos, and even texts that are difficult to distinguish from human work. What technologies are used for this, and can we trust artificial intelligence? This and much more will be discussed in Anna Goronchay's interactive lecture "Introduction to Neural Networks. Image and Video Generation." The first part of the lecture will focus on the basics: how neural networks are structured, how they learn, and why they can find patterns that are inaccessible to humans. Together with the host, participants will discuss whether artificial intelligence has imagination, whether it can be creative, and how ethical it is to use generative models in art and design. In the second part of the meeting, listeners will get acquainted with the tools of neural network creativity. They will enter a text query into the system and see how AI tools interpret human ideas and turn them into visual content. On our website, we tell about free events in Moscow.
