An exciting walk through the centuries under the sign of Gogol. Without leaving the park on Nikitsky Boulevard, participants will find themselves in the past and learn many interesting facts about the history of the mansion, which dates back to the time of Ivan the Terrible. Over five centuries, the house has been rebuilt multiple times, survived the fire of 1812, was revived, and became one of the symbols of Moscow's history. At the center of the narrative is the figure of Gogol, who lived here from 1848 to 1852. He became the genius of this place, which now bears the name of the memorial museum. The program host, Svetlana Panchenko, will talk about the historical twists in the fate of Gogol's house: from the moment of its construction to its transformation into the House of Polar Explorers.
