Young musicians from different cities take the big stage and play jazz as they hear it today. The evening brings together soloists, ensembles, and big bands, where bold improvisations and musical school training resonate side by side, and the thrill of competition transforms into a celebration of support, applause, and inspiration. For one evening, the big stage turns into a territory of young jazz - here you can hear how confidence is born and how from the first bold phrases a personal voice is formed. The showcase unites participants from Russia and other countries, and each performance resembles a small premiere: someone is playing for the first time in front of a full house, while someone is already accustomed to competitions and knows the value of composure. The project was conceived as support for young performers and the development of domestic jazz art - this idea was proposed by Igor Butman. Artistic director Pavel Ovchinnikov ensures that different instruments and characters sound on stage: from wind instruments to keyboards, from guitar and double bass to drums and jazz vocals. Participants perform in two directions: solo performance and collective ensembles. In the solo category, you can hear saxophone, flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, piano and keyboards, guitar, double bass and bass guitar, percussion instruments, vibraphone, percussion, as well as jazz vocals.
