Brilliant piano playing, recognizable melodies, and a festive mood - on this evening, the audience will hear works by Liszt, Tchaikovsky, Chopin, and Schumann performed by young laureates of prestigious competitions. Academic music sounds especially expressive before the holidays. On the eve of the New Year holidays, two representatives of the new generation of academic music - Vladimir Vishnevsky and Alexander Knyazev - will perform on the stage of the Capella. These musicians are laureates of the Second International Competition named after S. Rachmaninoff, both have undergone serious performance training and have already made a name for themselves on stages in various cities. The program will consist of works that can evoke a sense of joy, celebration, and light nostalgia. The first part will feature Liszt's "Spanish Rhapsody" - a bright and temperamental piece that requires full engagement from the pianist. Following that will be Rachmaninoff's "Etudes-Tableaux," where emotionality combines with technical complexity. The first part will conclude with a suite from Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker" arranged for piano, creating a New Year’s atmosphere. In the second part, Schumann's "Carnival" will be performed - a musical portrait cycle full of images and subtle moods. The program also includes one of Chopin's most lyrical and bright nocturnes and Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody - a brilliant conclusion to the evening. Both performers actively participate in major festivals and educational projects. Vladimir Vishnevsky is an ambassador for the "Russian Piano School" project and a scholarship holder of the Spivakov Foundation, a student at MGK. Alexander Knyazev studies at the Central Music School, has an impressive portfolio of awards and performances, including projects of "Sirius" and the festival "Denis Matsuev presents...".
