A concert by students of the Moscow State Conservatory named after P. I. Tchaikovsky will unite the music of European classics and contemporary Chinese composers. Young pianists from China, students of the Moscow State Conservatory, will perform works by Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Liszt, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Scriabin, and compositions by Chinese composers. Different schools and traditions will merge in one evening, as well as the perspectives of performers whose childhood and youth were spent in a different cultural environment. The program is structured to showcase the breadth of the piano repertoire. Baroque lines, strict classical structures, romantic melodies, and 20th-century harmonies alternate with each other. The concert participants are students of Associate Professor Alexander Malkus. Their playing combines the traditions of the Chinese school and the requirements of the Moscow Conservatory.
