If you believe in miracles and would like to spend an evening in a romantic atmosphere, don’t miss one of the most beautiful and lyrical events! According to legends, if you make a wish and send a paper lantern afloat, your cherished dream will surely come true. For three evenings, the Water Lantern Festival will take place at "Krasnogvardeyskie Prudy" Park in the Presnensky District of Moscow. As darkness falls, romantic melodies will fill the air, colorful installations will illuminate the park, and everyone will have the chance to touch a giant glowing moon. The highlight of the celebration will be the release of thousands of glowing lanterns, crafted in the shapes of lilies, lotuses, and water lilies, onto the dark surface of the Lower Krasnogvardeysky Pond. According to Eastern beliefs, paper lanterns symbolize our dreams. And if you send a lantern afloat with a wish written on it, it will definitely come true. You can choose to believe or not in ancient myths, but the Water Lantern Festival will surely bring you good mood and a romantic vibe. And that is the most reliable way to realize your cherished desires! Entry to the festival is free. Paper lanterns can be purchased on-site.
