About

A festival dedicated to International Theatre Day will take place for the ninth time at the Museum of Theatrical and Musical Arts in Ostrovsky Square. Guests can look forward to five sketches of performances, a tour-performance, documentary stand-up, and a concert-manifest. The theater always keeps its finger on the pulse of time, regardless of whether Shakespeare or a contemporary author's play is currently on stage. This is why theater will never lose its relevance. Guests of the ninth festival "All Day - Theater!" will be able to immerse themselves in contemporary theatrical art and view it from different angles thanks to a rich program. At the 9th festival, not only directors from St. Petersburg will present their productions. For the first time, an open call for applications was announced, which was responded to by directors from all over Russia. The program will open with a tour-performance of the unique exhibition "Pierre and the Sylphs," where guests will dive into the world of ancient ballet accompanied by fantastic characters from the street theater "Heavenly Wanderers." At 12:00 and 15:30, a sketch of the performance by director Evgeny Avramenko and actress Yana Savitskaya, dedicated to Vera Komissarzhevskaya, will be shown. The performance will take place among the exhibition of items belonging to the great artist. At 13:00, guests will see a sketch of the performance by Yulia Panina "VATSA" about the ballet legend Vaslav Nijinsky. The choreography was created by Polina Artemyeva, and the complex and ambiguous image of the artist will be embodied by Konstantin Gayekho and Bogdan Saenko. The director of the Krasnoyarsk TЮЗ Ksenia Peshchik will present a sketch of the performance "We Left Our Mark Here!" speaking to the audience from the perspective of a real historical figure - the museum cleaner Fedosia Barulina. During the war, she served as the curator of the collection and became one of the legends of the museum. The program will continue with a sketch of a solo performance by Anna Beshchatnova, dedicated to the memory of actor Sergey Dreyden, and a documentary stand-up by Angelina Zasentseva "Nothing Sacred." The festival will conclude with a concert-manifest "Time of the Bells": artists from the mader nort union will perform music by contemporary composers. Learn more details, get acquainted.
