About

The musical-floral festival will once again transform the island park into one of the brightest spring venues in the city. Guests can expect large flowerbeds, open-air concerts, dance programs, exhibitions, and workshops among hundreds of thousands of blooming tulips. This spring, a record 226,250 tulip bulbs have been planted in the park. The foundation of seven large flowerbeds consists of noble varieties such as Alicante, Antraciet, Sunny Prince, White, and other types, which will color the alleys and squares in rich shades of red, white, yellow, and purple. The musical part is inspired by the lines of poet Nikolai Agnivtsev, who called the island "a flower in the buttonhole of Petersburg." Concerts will take place at the observation platform near the Pavilion under the flag. Classical music pieces will be performed by the water. One of the main premieres will be an exhibition of confectionery decor in the interiors of the Yelagin Palace. The exhibition is dedicated to European and Russian court traditions of festive table decoration. In the Dining Hall, fragile compositions made of caramel and sugar, reminiscent of historical dessert decorations for imperial receptions, will be presented. Throughout the festival days, thematic spaces and fairs will operate. A fashion market with handmade jewelry, accessories, perfumes, and products from St. Petersburg craftsmen will open in the Grand Square, along with a floral exhibition and sale. A separate program has been prepared for lovers of creativity and crafts. In the glassblowing workshop, a show will take place, during which visitors will be shown the process of creating figures from molten glass. Guests will learn about ancient production technologies and receive a memorable souvenir with the festival's symbolism. On different days, there will also be dance lessons, performances by a brass band, historical dances, rock-n-roll parties, Argentine tango classes, and Irish dance sessions. The program will be complemented by a space with photo zones and workshops. Tickets can be purchased and more details about the program can be found on the website.
