The Family Documentary Short Film Festival will gather sincere films made by participants of an educational project. The focus is on journeys, home rituals, childhood archives, and personal stories. Documentary cinema about loved ones often starts with simple things: a family trip, an old tape, a conversation at the table. The festival will showcase short films about family created by participants of the educational media platform "Film-about-Family." Over the course of a year, families learned to shoot documentary films using an authorial methodology. A team of filmmakers from several regions of Russia offered participants ten formats for short films about their own lives. As a result, works emerged about travels, family traditions, childhood, personal archives, and everyday rituals. A separate part of the festival is dedicated to presenting the methodology that families learned to work with the camera.
