The "Music of the World" festival, which has been held since 2016, introduces the residents of St. Petersburg and the city's guests to the musical traditions of the regions of Russia and neighboring countries. Its main idea is to show how folk music continues to live today, combining with modern genres and new creative explorations. This year, the event will be held for the first time in the Sheremetevsky Garden. Musicians who boldly reinterpret folklore will take the stage. The audience will enjoy performances by Settlers, who blend Russian song tradition with an original sound, the band "Iva Nova," which has been combining Slavic motifs with rock and electronic music for over twenty years, the collective Hodila Izba with an unusual combination of jazz and folk chants, as well as the duet of Vitaly Pogosyan and Vladimir Volkov, who will present works from different eras and cultures in original arrangements.
