The open-air film festival returns to the picturesque Priory Park in Gatchina. Every Saturday, modern Russian blockbusters, Soviet classics, and children's film tales will be shown for free. Priory Park is hosting the family film festival for the sixth time. The cinema hall will be set up outdoors against the backdrop of the park's picturesque nature with its lakes and shady alleys. This year, the film screenings will take place in a new location - near Gatchina School No. 4 and the monument to the Leningrad teacher (exact location - via the link). Audiences can expect comfortable poufs, warm blankets, delicious street food, and great films on the big screen. The festival will open on June 14. The theatrical program will transport guests to Gatchina of the Soviet era. Attendees will be able to listen to songs played on the accordion, take photos with a retro car, join popular Soviet-era line dances, and test their knowledge in a themed quiz. The opening will feature recent Russian film premieres: "The Wizard of the Emerald City. The Road from the Yellow Brick" and "Love of the Soviet Union." The festival will last until the end of summer. With a diverse program, everyone will find something to watch. Among the films to be shown outdoors are recent box office hits "The Tinderbox," "Devyataev," and "Blood Type," as well as Soviet films like "Be My Husband," "Assa," and others. The children's program includes animated films such as "The Scarlet Flower," "Kitten Named Gav," "The Bremen Town Musicians," and more. Before the evening screenings, vocalists and instrumental performers will entertain in the park. Maria German, leading public relations specialist at the Park Agency of the Leningrad Region: "Watching your favorite movie surrounded by green alleys and picturesque lakes is the best recipe for a weekend this summer. The 'Summer. Park. Cinema' festival is a cozy, homey outdoor cinema, even in the changeable Petersburg weather. This year, our team has prepared an interesting and rich program of film screenings.
