The city hosts a large-scale festival of light dedicated to the Eastern tradition of welcoming spring. Guests can expect impressive installations created in the wake of centuries-old craftsmanship. As part of the city celebration dedicated to the arrival of the New Year according to the Eastern calendar, the Chinese lantern festival takes place. On the territory of Peter and Paul Fortress, 10 large light compositions created by masters from the city of Zigong in Sichuan province - the center of the ancient art of creating light installations - are presented. The structures reach four meters in height and 10 meters in length. Their imagery is connected to the symbolism of the Year of the Fire Horse: common motifs include dynamics, energy, forward movement, and striving for goals.
