At the end of August, Gorky Park will prove otherwise: here, the hottest debates of the writer with Tolstoy, the most candid conversations with Chekhov, and the most passionate discussions with Mayakovsky will come to life. And all this not in dusty books, but in live performances, concerts, and unexpected meetings in the open air. At the end of August, Gorky Park will turn into the epicenter of cultural life - a festival dedicated to Maxim Gorky and his era will take place here. This year, special emphasis is placed on the writer's relationships with outstanding contemporaries: Tolstoy, Chekhov, Mayakovsky, Shalyapin. Get ready for an unusual format of acquaintance with the classics - through music, theater, lectures, cinema, and live dialogues. The program will consist of two key events. First, concerts by the symphony orchestra "Academy of Russian Music" - works by Rachmaninoff and Grieg will be performed, the very composers whose music inspired Gorky. Second, a musical performance based on the famous stories "Makar Chudra" and "The Old Woman Izergil" featuring Evgeny Mironov and the Moscow Chamber Choir.
