Abkhaz culture will be revealed through the poetry of Lermontov, an exhibition narrative, music, and dance. The program includes readings of the classic in the Abkhaz language, an introduction to an album about his influence in Abkhaz literature, and a meeting with tradition, where memory, language, history, and live performance come together in a cohesive festive narrative. As part of the "Lermontov_Fest", the "Day of Abkhazia" will take place, addressing the Abkhaz cultural line and showing how the legacy of the Russian classic continues to resonate in another language and artistic tradition. The program will begin with a laying of flowers at the monument to Prince Peter of Oldenburg - the founder of the resort town of Gagra. Participants will then move to the main part at the Lermontov Central Library. There, an exhibition titled "History and Culture of Abkhazia" will open. The exhibition block will help to see the country through historical narratives, national features, and artistic images. The program also includes readings of Lermontov's works in the Abkhaz language. The musical part will add a festive rhythm to the event: the organizers promise performances by singers and a choreographic group.
