About

How to convey the sound of bells on canvas, what reflection did Malevich's works find in modern design, and why did various "isms" arise? Participants of the tour will learn to understand Russian avant-garde and distinguish real art from doodles. Using examples of famous paintings by Petrov-Vodkin, Larionov, Goncharova, Malevich, Tatlin, and Kandinsky, the guide will demonstrate to the participants the wide variety of movements within Russian avant-garde. In all its colors, the symphony, emptiness, bell ringing, and the famous "Black Square," which is actually not black, will unfold before the participants' eyes. A journey into the world of modern art will help understand what exactly sparked the development of "isms" in Russia, how these painting movements differ from one another, and what bold ideas their authors promoted. The duration of the tour program is 1.5 hours. The tour is individual and designed for a group of up to 10 people. To find out more details, click the "Sign up for the tour" button.
