The guide will lead participants along the traces of the genius of Russian poetry A. S. Pushkin in St. Petersburg. Together, they will unravel the web of intrigues woven from facts about the writer's life, analyze the prototypes of his famous work, and learn to play the game of whist. Pushkin was the first Russian author to turn writing into not just a profession but even a business, endowed with its own PR strategy. His life was a bright show that attracted public attention to new works. On the tour, participants will be able to view the "Sun of Russian Poetry" from an unexpected angle and, behind the facade of an extravagant image, discern a hot-tempered yet loyal friend, a reckless duelist, a ladies' man, and a loving husband. An engaging journalistic investigation will also touch on the theme of the "Queen of Spades." Participants will visit the mansions of three noblewomen and try to find similarities and differences between their hosts and the mysterious main character, discuss the curses that affected Pushkin and Tchaikovsky, and learn what the "spade" intersection represents.
