Kovalevsky Forest is the place where 95 convicted individuals in the Taganets case were executed, including Nikolai Gumilev. One of the dark pages of domestic history, the Taganets case is inextricably linked to the name of Nikolai Gumilev, who became a victim of red terror. The picturesque Kovalevsky Forest, located near Vsevolozhsk, is in reality a silent grave for dozens of people. Here, death sentences were carried out by the Cheka during the Civil War, and participants of the Kronstadt uprising were brought here for execution. Here, the lives of 95 convicted individuals in the Taganets case were also cut short, including Nikolai Gumilev. The excursion consists of two parts - a walking tour (following Gumilev's footsteps in St. Petersburg) and a bus trip to Kovalevsky Forest. Find other events in St. Petersburg on KUDAGO.
