A walk along the "Literatorskiye Mostki" will reveal the history of one of the most famous necropolises in St. Petersburg. Participants will learn about the prominent figures resting here and see monuments created by renowned sculptors. The Volkovskoe Orthodox Cemetery is a historic resting place for domestic cultural and scientific figures. Once, there were swamps here, through which wooden walkways were laid. After V. G. Belinsky and N. A. Dobrolyubov were buried in this area, it began to be called "Literatorskiye Mostki." As they stroll along the quiet paths, participants will see many familiar names: Vaganova, Turgenev, Mendeleev, Anikushin, Mamin-Sibiryak, Saltykov-Shchedrin, Petrov-Vodkin, Goncharov, and others.
