The electric scooter route will take you through the ZBI area and showcase Shartash as a space where ancient landscape, Stone Tents, archaeology, and the Soviet project of the city of the future converge in one urban story. Shartash seems like a familiar part of Yekaterinburg, but its history is much older than the city itself. People have settled on the shores of the lake for millennia: here, the natural landscape, Stone Tents, traces of ancient settlements, and later urban experiments are significant. The electric scooter route helps to see this territory as a cohesive story, where different eras are very close to each other. The ZBI area is quite spacious, and on a scooter, you can cover more points than during a regular walking tour. Participants will move from one place to another, gradually assembling a map of Shartash: how the landscape was formed, why the Stone Tents were an important landmark for people of different eras, and what traces of the past can be noticed among modern construction.
