A walking tour of places connected to the life and work of composer Vasily Kalinnikov. To commemorate the 160th anniversary of the birth of composer Vasily Kalinnikov, the Turgenev Library has prepared a series of unique walking tours. The routes will introduce participants to the locations where key episodes of the musician's life took place and reveal new facets of his creative journey. The first walk begins at the "Kropotkinskaya" metro station and passes through significant architectural and cultural sites in central Moscow. Participants will visit two churches - the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and the Church of Boris and Gleb, where Kalinnikov loved to listen to the singers. The route will then lead to the house on Tverskoy Boulevard, known as "Romanovka," where the composer lived. Next, the walk will continue along Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street, where two educational institutions that Kalinnikov attended are located - the Philharmonic College and the Moscow Conservatory. The final point of the route will be the building of the Moscow Art Theatre (MXAT), after which the group will conclude the tour at the "Okhotny Ryad" metro station. Along the way, participants will not only hear the guide's narration but also listen to musical works related to the places visited.
