Guests of the exhibition will see Gogol's works through the eyes of artists from the 20th and 21st centuries. The exhibition features works by Yuri Charyshnikov, Andrey Kostin, Lyudmila Loboda, Sergey Lyubaev, and other illustrator artists, alongside publications for which these works were created. The exhibition is complemented by quotes from the letters of Nikolai Gogol. Through them, another layer of the exposition is revealed: the author's experiences regarding the fate of his own compositions, his doubts and expectations, and the support provided to the writer by his loved ones. Light, sound, and video complement the graphic works, transforming the space into a cohesive installation where the viewer moves between image and word. The tour will be conducted by Ekaterina Malakhova - art historian and curator of museum items at the Gogol House. Where to go with children in Moscow can be found on KudaGo.
