Under the guidance of a curator, children will embark on an exciting excursion into the culture and daily life of the Roman Empire and learn curious facts about the world of gladiators and great generals. The "Promuseum" project and the "Art of Nations" foundation invite schoolchildren to a tour dedicated to Ancient Rome. In the thematic halls of the Pushkin Museum, children will encounter numerous exhibits telling the stories of powerful emperors, gods, gladiators, legionnaires, and heroic deeds, while an experienced guide will explain the themes of the artworks and help uncover the secrets of the past. The kids will learn: how the Roman pantheon of gods differs from the Greek one; which god or goddess Augustus was a descendant of and why his face was known to every citizen of the empire; how gladiatorial fights took place and what secrets the Colosseum hides; who made up the Senate and what influence it had on the structure of the empire; where the main celebrations in Rome took place and how people celebrated great victories.
