About

The exhibition at the Pushkin Museum will introduce visitors to the culture and worldview of the ancient Greeks, which continue to influence world art to this day. A historian guide will show museum guests the majestic statues of gods, heroes, and great thinkers, thus opening the door to the fascinating world of ancient Greek mythology. Participants will learn how many feats Hercules accomplished, what attributes the gods used, how Athena was born, what the thread of Ariadne is, and what Theseus is known for. The kids will also encounter interesting historical facts. For example, they will find out whether the labyrinth of the Minotaur really existed and why all the statues are white. The tour takes place in a playful format. Children will experience an ancient Greek feast, where they will study the functions of different vases, try to find their way out of the famous labyrinth, and complete tasks to find Athena's gifts. The event is designed for children aged 4 to 7 and their parents. For more details and to purchase tickets, please visit the website.
