A discussion about fairy tales will help look at familiar stories from a new perspective. Participants will discuss the origin of the genre, the characteristics of the plots, and the images of the heroes, recall favorite works, and learn how fairy tales have been studied by literary scholars. Fairy tales have accompanied humans since childhood, but behind the familiar plots of heroes, miracles, and trials lies a complex system of images and meanings. The meeting of the creative workshop is dedicated to the study of this literary genre and its features. Participants will discuss how fairy tales originated, what types of plots are most commonly found in them, and why stories about the struggle between good and evil, the search for magical objects, and overcoming difficulties continue to interest readers of different generations. Special attention will be given to the research of Vladimir Propp and his work "Morphology of the Fairy Tale." We share ideas on where to go in Saint Petersburg this weekend.
